The South West of WA is notable for its higher rainfall with forest and farmland areas.
Moderated by both the Indian and Southern Oceans it experiences a more continental climate as one travels inland.
The inland South West has excellent horticultural country with a long gardening tradition.
Towns such as Balingup, Nannup, Bridgetown and Manjimup have many gardens some originating as long ago as the 19th century.
From Perth the garden towns are approximately three to four hours drive away.
